GAME ON!

Okay, this is my first attempt at a blog. I wanted a place where we could leave comments; post stuff etc. Bear with me as I start this. Above is a picture of the book which can be purchased here; or if you just want to peruse it check out this link.
If I get really good at this I may post recipes and pictures etc. If you have anything you want posted send me an email (You should have gotten one informing you of this blog. Thats probably why you are reading this in the first place).
So, follow my lead and introduce yourself to the other players in the comment section.

The Rules:
You have all received a copy of the rules. If you have any questions about them post a comment here. I will answer to the best of my ability or we can put it to a vote.

Next Post:
We'll be committing to our "transformation" here in writing.

  1. I am the inspiration for this blog and game (for us anyways). I saw the authors on Good Morning America while I was at Akron General waiting for a patient to finish a post-op appointment. It looked interesting so I googled it and came upon the website as well as the preview of the book from Harper Collins. I started reading it and was laughing. I ordered the book from Amazon and thought, "hey why not?". I have a stomach I'd love to lose. and some thighs. and some chins. and some lunch lady arms. Ok, its not that bad (I hope) but you get the point.
You all have either been recruited by me or someone I recruited. My goal is to do this (and lose weight of course) and hopefully get some other contests started after this one ends. I am hoping it will be addiciting and FUN.
I especially love the part about smack talk (all in good humor I hope).
I am chugging my last of the diet coke *sigh* as I write this. Yeah, the soda part is going to be hard!

  2. I'm an old friend from the college days. I've been on the SBD for an extended period of time, and have hit a bad plateau for the past few months. I've lost close to 120 pounds in the last 18 months, and have more that I want to loose. I'm hoping that this will help jump start my weight loss again. I am dreading the sleep requirements of this game. I mean really, who goes to bed at 10 or 11PM??

  5. Michael, I don't think the sleep requirement is going to be a problem for me. I'm ready to go to bed at 8 to keep from eating. This is my prime snacking time!!!!!
